POSITION TITLE: COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR
Status: Full Time; On-site
Position Reports to: Director of Communications
Position Objective: The Communications Coordinator consists of an individual with both graphic design and social media experience. As part of the Communications Team, the primary responsibility will be developing graphics and other visual assets as needed to support the various ministries of Harvest Church while maintaining and strengthening its brand. This role is responsible for assisting in collaboration and execution of graphics that uphold the communication strategies for weekly ministry and all-church events. This role is also responsible for collaboratively planning out a social media calendar for various ministries across multiple social platforms, creating engaging content to increase traffic and engagement.
Responsibilities and Desired Skills
Actively participate in weekly brainstorming and team meetings
Assist the Communications Team in maintaining brand across the ministries and needs of the church
Be an integral part of the Communications Team that crafts stories through all art mediums
Graphic Design
Provide original and adapted print and digital support for weekend experiences and other ministry from inception to completion
Assisting in identifying new ways to communicate the gospel through profound design
View digital proofs for overall accuracy, clarity, content, registration, and color
Responsible for planning and executing assigned ministry and facility projects
Typesetting copy, laying out pages, organizing digital files for output
Create mockups as needed; print, cut, mount posters/signs
Assist in communicating and maintaining relationships with print reps, printers and suppliers, ensuring quality and timely delivery of final product
Create graphics to successfully communicate clearly the short-term ministry goals across all media platforms while staying on brand - including but not limited to social media, e-news, website, etc
Compile information, create content for, and schedule the Weekly Update, Harvest’s e-newsletter
Create graphics to support print, promotions, digital, and socials for all ministry and church-wide events
Assist in the photography, editing, and curating of Sundays and weekly life with Harvest and special events in collaboration with the entire Communications Team
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) required
Social Media
Manage content (artwork and text) for social media for all locations of Harvest Church
Establish social media marketing tools to create and maintain the Harvest brand
Track and record marketing analytics data
Assist in developing and implementing social media strategies to increase awareness and engagement
Monitor social media channels for trends and make suggestions accordingly
Keep on top of Harvest Church's calendar to assure timely posting
Be accountable to responding to comments, DMs, etc in a timely manner
Ability to manage multiple social media accounts simultaneously
Excellent proofreading skills to ensure accurate and error-free content
Maintain an engaging and up-to-date digital presence

Professional Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or 2+ years experience in graphic design or social media management.
Experience using Adobe Create Suite (specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign).
Experience with Meta Business Suite and up to date on current social media trends.
Experience managing multiple projects at one time.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and Planning Center Online a plus.

Excellent problem-solving and muti-tasking skills
Highly organized and a good manager of time and deadlines
Ability to work well and troubleshoot in a multifaceted, fast-paced environment
Ability to follow directions with little oversight
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Assist with occasional large-scale Communications projects in support of the ministries of Harvest Church

Ability to research and learn new industry standards, procedures, equipment, software, etc. as they arise
Proficient in Microsoft Suite
Working knowledge of Planning Center Online
Working knowledge of Canva Pro
