Harvest Church:
Launched in the Spring of 2007 in Carmel. IN with a mission to “Glorify God by making disciples of all nations”, Harvest has grown from its founding core group of 55 people to a congregation of over 1600 people each weekend.
The church is committed to passionate and fervent worship of Jesus fueled by the proclamation, study and application of the Word of God. It’s ministry of making disciples is anchored in a discipleship Pathway that directs people to Follow Christ, Grow Together, Disciple Others and Reach the World. Multiplication and commissioning disciples locally through church planting and globally through missions is an important part of kingdom work at Harvest.
In the fall of 2024, Harvest is multiplying its ministry to include a second congregation located in Westfield, IN.
Role:
The Director of Children’s Discipleship includes oversight and implementation of Harvest Kids (Children’s ministry) each weekend at the Westfield location. The person in this role will collaborate with the Harvest Carmel children’s ministry team to deliver quality weekly children’s programming at the Westfield location. Likewise, the person in this role will be an integral member of the Westfield ministry staff and will collaborate and contribute to the care and discipleship of the congregation as he/she serves the people of Westfield. This role requires a high degree of dependability, confidentiality, and resilience with some occasional work outside of office hours.
Responsibilities:
Harvest Kids
Provide oversight for all aspects of Harvest Kids Children’s Ministry at Westfield location (set-up, staffing, training, administration, etc.)
Collaborate weekly with Harvest Carmel Children’s team on direction, curriculum & execution of Harvest Kids Ministry
Cast a vision that compels children to Follow Christ, Grow Together, Disciple Others and Reach the World
Recruit, train, and schedule adult and student volunteers to staff weekly ministry
Contribute to vision, planning and execution of Harvest Kids summer programming such as Harvest Kids Camp and other family summer activities
Create and manage an annual Harvest Kids ministry budget
Oversee various Children’s Discipleship projects and programming such as Celebration Sundays, Childcare for ministry programming/events, parenting programming and other projects as determined by your supervisor
Campus Participation
Serve as a team player to assist the work of ministry at the Westfield location
Attend and participate in regular staff meetings both with the Westfield team and entire Harvest Church team
Participate in discipleship/body life with the people of the Westfield location

Clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a passionate, growing personal relationship with Him
History of high moral integrity
Strong work ethic, highly organized, detail oriented and a good manager of time and deadlines
Passion for sharing the Gospel of Christ with the next generation
Self-starter with drive, passion and initiative
Teachable spirit with a desire to be held accountable
Team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to work collaboratively
Ministry partner willing to voice concern and disagreement in a respectable way while following accepted relationships of authority, responsibility and leadership
Commitment to the doctrine, vision and philosophy of Harvest Church
Willingness to become a covenant member of Harvest church and work under the direction of the Elders and Senior Pastoral Leaders

Professional Qualifications:
Required bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year school
Experience in oversight and/or service in a leadership role in children’s ministry
Experience in administration, account management, or customer service
Possess a knowledge and agreement with Harvest Church children’s ministry philosophy and methodology
Necessary Skills and Abilities:
High proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to facilitate calendar, email, phone calls and meetings
Ability to manage assigned budgets and expenses as directed
